Individual Therapy
Therapy for Children, Adolescents and Adults
At Breakthrough Psychotherapy, we provide a concierge therapy model to each client, which allows us to offer many options for therapeutic support and personal growth through validating and responsive treatments that are tailored to, and work for, the client. As child psychologists, we can see individual clients of all ages starting at 5 years old. Our collaborative approach supports the well-being of children (5-13 years old), adolescents (13-17 years old), young adults (18-26 years old), and parents/caregivers through validating and responsive treatments.
Your therapist will individualize your therapeutic experience based on what is important to you and your family. Our clients and/or their parents receive direct access to their Northfield therapist, whether it is for scheduling or crisis intervention services, your Northfield therapist will answer your calls and emails promptly and personally. Therapists at Breakthrough Psychotherapy specialize in evidence-based trauma-informed therapies, such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Family Systems Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Breakthrough therapists are specifically trained in these treatment modalities and continue to receive ongoing training to ensure that your family receives the most up-to-date, science-based, and customized interventions. Therapists at Breakthrough take a multidisciplinary approach by working with outside professionals, such as psychiatrists, medical providers, and schools.
